Conversion

level 1 - level 2 - level 3

Level 1
To make the implementation of the system as easy and smooth as possible, it is not necessary to equip all inspectors with mobile devices because the Board of Control can, through the OEKOKON, have already ready made forms available for the inspectors, that contain all statements required for the inspection. In this step alone, the time- and administrative expense is reduced by about 30%.

advantage:

  • fast implementation.
  • minimal cost for equipment.
  • already noticeably reduced time investment.

disadvantage:

  • the ready made forms must still be partially filled out and
  • must be put into the system by hand at the Board of Control.

Level 2
The complete record of the company to be inspected will be recorded at the Board of Control onto the laptop of the inspector. The processing of the assessment takes place with a mouseclick. Necessary calculations are made with the data records available in supported software (stable-and-roaming areas, plausibility calculations and field record).

advantage:

  • clearly reduced time investment (about 50%)
  • only in special cases is input per keyboard necessary.

    disadvantage:

    • relatively high hardware costs (Laptop)

    Level 3
OEKOKON in step 3 runs on a so called MDA (handheld). (Highest flexibility possible at the Board of Control -management). The Board of Control can delegate its workers on the spot to new inspection sites. After conclusion of the inspection the inspection protocol can be sent over infrared-interface to a printer. Simultaneous transmitting of that protocol over GPRS to the Board of Control. The results appear in the TO-DO list on the monitor.

    advantage:

    • system start in seconds.
    • MDA can be used in any area of the company (field, stable, processing).
    • neither network connection nor cable is required.
    • handwritten notes on the display are received as a data record.
    • low hardware costs

    disadvantage:

    • getting used to the small display
    • handwriting recognition must be practiced.
